This dojo isn't just about teaching karate, they focus on the whole child. Building confidence, teaching respect, and other life skills. My daughter absolutely loves it and the instructors are all amazing. They really know how to work with, instruct, and motivate children.
The instructors are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and caring. They take the time to get to know each student and make sure everyone is supported. I appreciate how they provide gentle but firm guidance, which really helps the kids grow in both skill and confidence.
Had my son's 6th birthday party at Engage Martial Arts and it was a hit. The kiddos had a great time. The setup was just right for the children to run around, enjoy and participate in the games. We would sure recommend them, for a memorable experience.

Idk what else I could say. Everyone is super nice, friendly, and has the best attitude. They don't only teach karate they teach how to build good habits, but they inspire even us parents to grow personally, emotionally to be the best for us for our kids and families too. Omg it's an amazing super karate school. Not any karate school. They have a variety of events during the year for the kids (ninja night) for the whole family. ( Park Day). They're always making sure everyone gets involved like this last one they came up with, like bring your kid to work day, but this time was bring a parent to class day. I just loved it, so my son did too. You see one thing, but what you do on the mat is another thing. We love Master Young Msr. Young Big Master Young and the whole team. I am so proud to be part of an amazing team. If you're here thinking, would this be right for me for my kids??? Don't think no more because you're in the perfect place. This is real, not false advertising.

My 6 year old hasbeen coming here about 7 months now and we couldn't be happier to have found this place. All of the black belt instructors are so amazing and well trained in child development. They really form a bond with each kid and work with the parent to resolve any issues the kid might be having both in the dojo and out of it. They do an amazing job on focusing on developing not just karate skills but all around life and school skills. My son has become more confident and outgoing in all of the best ways thanks to their help. They have also been very welcoming to our non-traditional family.
My daughter is 5 and has been going for about a month a half now. She has already shown so much growth and improvement. She loves going to class and I can see her gaining confidence. We highly recommend Engage!
My 7 year old has been coming to Engage lifestyle Martial arts for 3 1/2 years now and we couldn't be happier with our decision . My 4 year old just started this year and he loves it so much . I have completed self defense classes which is amazing that they offer them . If you are looking for something that is centered around the community , this place is perfect ! They have amazing holiday events , Ninja nights , self defense classes , amd so much more !!
We are so blessed to have found CD Young Karate in Henderson . They are always going above and beyond to help the kids ! They also plan many family events throught the year , which makes it like its own little community. My 6 year old son absolutely loves all of the instructors and we are excited to put my 4 year old in next month . They have really helped my son with his confidence and attitude !

My family moved to Henderson from Tampa Florida in December 2019 and our realtor recommended CD Young Karate for our son Jack. CD Young is very professional and Jack enjoys attending classes and learning the art of Karate.
The people that CD Youngs Karate attracts are amazing and simply add to the outstanding martial arts program.
Last Saturday, I had the privilege of testing for my black belt at CD-Youngs Karate, and I wanted to share something that happened during the test, something that demonstrates what kind of people attend CD Young’s Karate.
A little back story, about 30 minutes into the test, I had the worst asthma attack I can recall ever having. While recovering from it, I missed doing several of the required Katas with the class. About 6 hours into the test, while the others were getting geared up for sparing, I demonstrated the katas that I had missed to Master Young, and I can honestly say that I totally botched them up. He told me to get my sparing gear on, and I would get a second chance to do the katas after we were all done sparing.
An hour and a half or so later, after sparing Master Young had me stand up by myself to do the katas again. I was both physically and emotionally drained. I had no energy left. I felt just DONE. After waiting a moment for him to say what kata he wanted, he instead stood up and lined up with me. Then, starting with my black belt sponsors, ALL of the black belts on the testing panel, except the one that was grading the kata, got up and lined up with me to do the kata as a group, and we did.
I can’t tell you how much it meant to me that they all got up there to support me. I don’t think I could have made it through that part of the test with-out their energy and support. Don’t get me wrong. They had been encouraging me all day, “Keep going,” “You can do it,” etc., but them ALL getting up to support me at that moment was so far beyond what I expected. I can’t thank them all enough.
Was very thorough and answered all my questions before signing up. He let me discuss with my kids in private if they enjoyed the class and their was no pressure to sign up. He wanted to make sure that it was the right fit for us! Great people!
Update: after 6 months, my girls have grown so much more confident in everything they do! Thank you!
My daughter (5) has been attending for a few months now. She has been improving so much. Not just her physical skills, but her mentality at home. She is taught respect and discipline. It shows how well taught she is. Every class she is so excited to tell me what she learned. They are very good at keeping us informed on each weeks lesson goals, and even give us tips for at home lessons to correspond with the classes. I also love that they host monthly events for the kids outside of the regular lessons. I recommend for any age! The owners are super hands on and friendly. Highly recommend!
